Job summary

A community-focused housing organization in Derry/Londonderry is seeking a Grounds Supervisor responsible for managing grounds maintenance tasks and supervising teams. Candidates should have a BTEC/NVQ level 2 in horticulture or equivalent experience, notably in supervisory roles within horticulture or grounds maintenance. This position offers a salary of £27,694 per annum pro rata and is aimed at ensuring high-quality maintenance across living schemes.

Qualifications

• BTEC/NVQ level 2 Horticultural qualification and 2 years post qualification experience.
• Or 5 years paid employment in Horticultural/Grounds Maintenance role with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage grounds maintenance operatives.
• Ensure safety and security of maintenance storage units and equipment.
• Assist Senior Assets Officer in reviewing work programs.

Job description

As a Grounds Supervisor you will be responsible for the supervision and management of the direct labour grounds maintenance operatives as well as carrying out various tasks required to deliver a high standard of grounds maintenance works within our general needs and supported living schemes.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will have responsibility for safety and security of the Associations grounds maintenance storage units and equipment and will assist and work closely with the Senior Assets Officer where required to review work programs.

• BTEC/NVQ level 2 Horticultural qualification and 2 years post qualification experience employment in a Horticultural/Grounds Maintenance role.
• Or 5 Years paid employment in a Horticultural/Grounds Maintenance role and Previous supervisory experience.
