Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a Ground Maintenance Operative to work in Hereford on a Temp to Perm basis for a Housing Association based in Birmingham. 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 7:30am–3:30pm, with flexibility to work alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous ground maintenance experience.
• Able to work outside in all weathers.
• Physically fit due to ground conditions.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to deliver gardening services for properties and other landlords according to agreed timescales and specifications.
• Carry out grass cutting, clearance, planting, weeding and maintenance of shrub areas using appropriate hand tools and mechanical horticultural appliances.
• Undertake external maintenance work such as slab repairs and fencing within agreed timescales.
• Use modern technology to support mobile delivery of the role and minimise risks with alarms, trackers and other equipment.
• Present schemes to high standards to positively impact customer view of the service and satisfaction with the Housing Association.
• Identify opportunities for improved value for money and support the Estate Services Manager to keep the service competitive.
• Deliver excellent customer service, respond to enquiries politely and forward them to relevant colleagues when required.
• Collaborate with team and colleagues across the association to share information, implement best practice and continuously improve service delivery.
