Grounds Maintenance Operative - Exeter

Our client requires Grounds Maintenance Operatives around Exeter to carry out tasks such as strimming, hard and soft landscaping. Working in teams, you will be responsible for a range of activities including grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance, and more.

What we are looking for:

1. Experience within the grounds maintenance industry
2. Capable of working safely using various equipment and hand tools (e.g., strimmers, backpack blowers, push mowers)
3. Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
4. Good time management skills and the ability to work in a demanding environment
5. Enthusiasm, good communication skills
6. Good understanding of health and safety
7. Ideally, have a full, clean driving license
8. Understand the importance of working as a team
9. Reliable and conscientious with a can-do attitude
10. A willingness to learn
11. Ability to work on one's own initiative
12. CSCS card is essential

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday, with some weekend overtime available, paid at premium rates.

Rate of Pay:

• £12.21 per hour
• This is a PAYE position, so you will benefit from accrued holiday pay from day one
• Pension contributions (after a qualifying period)
• Weekly pay
• No umbrella payments or fees
• Only tax and insurance deductions, as shown on your payslip
