Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is hiring a Grounds Maintenance Operative in Edinburgh. This full-time permanent role offers 40 hours per week with a pay rate of £13.45 per hour. The successful candidate will maintain outdoor spaces to high standards, comply with SLA requirements, and work across grass, hedges and winter services.

Requirements include a Full UK Driving Licence; trailer experience is a plus. Mobile-friendly site operations and safety training are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking.
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively.
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation.
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking

What We're Looking For

• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus


• Full UK driving license preferred for roles involving company vehicles
