Job summary

Stafffinders is seeking an experienced Grounds/Maintenance Manager to lead a large site in Perthshire. This permanent role offers a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend/on-call duties.

You will supervise the grounds team, plan maintenance activities (mowing, strimming, weeding), operate and maintain machinery, and coordinate with the Park Manager and contractors while prioritising health and safety. Accommodation is provided as a comfortable static caravan for one person.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in landscaping maintenance and grounds repairs.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations for outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the grounds maintenance team.
• Plan and carry out landscape maintenance programmes (mowing, strimming, weeding).
• Safely operate, maintain and oversee use of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues and repair needs.
• Liaise with the Park Manager and external contractors to coordinate work.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Manage the inventory of tools, equipment and maintenance materials.
• Schedule and prioritise regular maintenance tasks to maximise efficiency.
• Maintain the grounds to high standards of appearance, cleanliness and safety.
• Support continuous improvement of the site's outdoor spaces and presentation.

Our client is seeking a dedicated Grounds/Maintenance Manager to take charge of their extensive site in Perthshire. This is a permanent role where you can make a real impact, bringing your expertise to a unique and rewarding environment.

What you will get in your new role

• A competitive salary of £34,000 per annum
• A stable working week of 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Some weekend work, overtime, or on-call duties may be required to ensure the smooth operation of the site

Responsibilities in your new role as Grounds/Maintenance Manager

Your personality, experience and qualifications

You will have proven experience in landscaping maintenance, grounds repairs and team supervision. You will also bring:

• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations relating to outdoor maintenance
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator with a good command of English
