Job summary

Mitie Landscapes in Oxford is seeking a Grounds Maintenance and Gritting Operative. You will maintain client sites, perform grass cutting, hedge trimming, border maintenance, leaf clearance and litter picking, and deliver winter gritting services.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will operate company vehicles and equipment, follow health and safety procedures, undertake training, and provide site reports as required. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and gritting required.
• Willingness to work winter season hours.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle with a gritting hopper.
• Good understanding of smartphone technology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clients' sites: grass cutting, hedge trimming, border maintenance, leaf clearance, litter picking, and spraying.
• Deliver winter services, including gritting and snow clearance.
• Provide reports and site information to Contracts Manager, including hazards.
• Operate vehicles and equipment in line with Health & Safety procedures.
• Undertake training as required.
• Gritting across sites within regional area.
• Drive company vehicle with gritting hopper.
• Fill van with rock salt for distribution.
• Complete duties safely and promptly.

Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance/ Gritting Operative to join our team at the UKs market leading FM company. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be delivering Grounds Maintenance and Winter Services and ensuring you deliver the exceptional every day.

• Maintaining our clients' sites. Grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, litter picking, and spraying.
• Delivering our winter services, including gritting and snow clearance.
• Providing management with relevant information and reporting as required, including reporting any site hazards.
• Operating all vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Undertaking training as and when required.
• Gritting various sites within your regional area
• Driving a company vehicle with a gritting hopper
• Filling your van with rock salt to distribute
• Completing your duties in a safe and timely manner
