Job summary

Sheffield Health Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a gardener to maintain grounds across Trust premises and other sites. The role covers mowing, hedge cutting, turf care, planting and pruning, plus snow clearing and gritting of paths and drives.

You may work alone or as part of a team, with training for driving Trust vehicles where needed. Previous gardening experience is essential to deliver high standards and safe operation of equipment.

Qualifications

• Horticultural qualification or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Previous gardening experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grounds and gardening duties to a high standard at Trust premises and other sites as directed.
• Dig, hoe, manure, plant out, stake and tie plants.
• Cut, lay and maintain turf and herbaceous areas.
• Maintain rose and pleasure gardens, including pruning of plants.
• Sweep, clear snow and grit drives and footpaths when required.
• Drive Trust vehicles other than HGVs with training provided.
