Job Description - Ground Worker Multi Skilled (25148)

Ground Worker Multi Skilled

Working in our properties across Hertfordshire and South Buckinghamshire

Type: Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw Monday to Friday, with on call on a rota basis)

Salary: £36,711 per annum plus van, generous on call allowance and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

About Us:

Are you an experienced Bricklayer looking for a new role with a great employer? Come join us at Home Group and be part of our fantastic repairs and maintenance team. You’ll carry out high-quality, right first-time maintenance across our responsive and void properties.

Typical Day as a Ground Worker:

• Complete all allocated jobs right first time, with a whole job repair approach, providing a brilliant service for our customers.
• Bricklaying across repairs, maintenance and property refurbishments.
• Deliver high-quality and compliant work.
• Multi-skill to improve first time fixes and prevent multiple visits to customers’ homes.
• Work in properties across Hertfordshire and South Buckinghamshire, with scheduled jobs.

You Have:

• City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in brickwork or equivalent.
• Experience in all aspects of bricklaying within a maintenance environment.
• Experience in other building trade areas (multi-skilled).
• A flexible approach, able to use your own initiative and judgement.
• A full current driving licence as you’ll be provided with a company van for business use and commuting.

Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.

Job Details:

• Working Monday to Friday, with participation in our out of hours service on a rota with colleagues, receiving an additional generous on call payment.
• Work across our properties in the Hertfordshire and South Buckinghamshire areas. Our office base is in Welwyn Garden City.
• Ability to use technology for logging jobs, completing online learning, and collaborating with other colleagues.
• A Basic DBS check is required, and we pay for that.
