Ground Maintenance Operative

Salary: £14- £19 / Hour
Job type: Long Term Contract
Location: Stratford

We are looking for a Temporary Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team and help maintain outdoor spaces across East London. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week), working from allocated sites with occasional office attendance.

Closing Date: 10 December, 5pm

Interview Date: 16 December

About the Role

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in keeping our outdoor environments tidy, safe, and enjoyable. Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Mowing, lawn care and planting
  • Pruning, hedge cutting and seasonal upkeep
  • Weeding, border maintenance and general landscaping
  • Operating horticultural machinery (mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers, blowers)
  • Undertaking pesticide application (PA1 & PA6)
  • Working effectively as part of a team
What We're Looking For
  • Previous horticultural experience
  • Strong plant knowledge
  • Ability to prioritise tasks throughout the seasons
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
