Premier Inn in Gillingham is hiring a Ground Floor Team Member. You will welcome guests, assist with check-ins, and serve breakfast or dinner while staying calm during busy periods. Full training is provided, and you’ll work across reception, restaurant and public areas to keep the hotel running smoothly.

The role offers a permanent contract, 20 guaranteed hours per week, and shifts including evenings and weekends at Gillingham Business Park. Training and a supportive team await you.

Ground Floor Team Member - Gillingham Business Park Premier Inn

You are the first person many of our guests meet. And often the last before they leave.

As a Ground Floor Team Member, you'll welcome guests, help them check in, answer questions, serve breakfast or dinner and do whatever it takes to help their stay go smoothly.

No two shifts are quite the same. One moment you could be helping a family check in before their holiday. The next you might be serving breakfast, recommending somewhere local to eat or helping solve a problem for a guest.

A conditional sale of the restaurant site has been agreed and this role may be in scope to TUPE transfer to Common Table Group.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent - we don't do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 20 guaranteed hours per week.

Location: Gillingham Business Park Premier Inn, Will Adams Way, Gillingham ME8 6BY

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you'll do

As a Ground Floor Team Member, no two shifts look exactly the same.

Depending on where you're needed, you might:

• Welcome guests and help them check in
• Serve breakfast or evening meals, including working behind the bar and serving alcoholic drinks
• Answer questions and help solve problems
• Help keep the reception, restaurant and public areas looking their best
• Support your teammates across the hotel when things get busy
• Make sure every guest feels looked after from arrival to departure

This isn't a role where you'll spend your shift in one place. You'll be helping guests, supporting teammates and keeping the hotel running smoothly.

You don't need hotel experience

Some of our best Ground Floor Team Members have joined us from retail, cafés, pubs, restaurants, leisure, travel and customer service.
