Job summary

Whitbread's Harwich Premier Inn is seeking a Ground Floor Team Member to welcome guests, assist with check-in, serve breakfast or dinner, and help ensure guests have a smooth stay.

This is a permanent, on-site role with 30 guaranteed hours per week and pay up to £13.06 per hour.

No hotel experience is required; friendly, proactive people thrive here, with training provided and opportunities to grow across Premier Inn.

Job description

We're currently recruiting in our Harwich Premier Inn. Working 30 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Ground Floor Team Member – Harwich Premier Inn

You are the first person many of our guests meet. And often the last before they leave.

As a Ground Floor Team Member, you’ll welcome guests, help them check in, answer questions, serve breakfast or dinner and do whatever it takes to help their stay go smoothly.

No two shifts are quite the same. One moment you could be helping a family check in before their holiday. The next you might be serving breakfast, recommending somewhere local to eat or helping solve a problem for a guest.

Pay, hours and location

• Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour
• Contract: Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.
• Hours: 30 guaranteed hours per week.
• Location: Station Euro Park, Harwich, Essex, CO12 4NX
• Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

As a Ground Floor Team Member, no two shifts look exactly the same.

Depending On Where You’re Needed, You Might

• Welcome guests and help them check in
• Serve breakfast or evening meals
• Answer questions and help solve problems
• Help keep the reception, restaurant and public areas looking their best
• Support your teammates across the hotel when things get busy
• Make sure every guest feels looked after from arrival to departure

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Ground Floor Team Members have joined us from retail, cafés, pubs, restaurants, leisure, travel and customer service.

If you’re friendly, enjoy helping people and can stay calm when it’s busy, we’ll teach you the rest.
