Job summary

Premier Inn in Portsmouth (Havant) is looking for a Ground Floor Team Member to warmly welcome guests, help with check-in, and assist with breakfast or dinner service to ensure guests have a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Shifts include evenings and weekends and no two days are the same. You’ll join a friendly team, learn on the job, and develop hospitality skills while earning a competitive hourly rate of up to £13.06.

Qualifications

• No previous hotel experience required.
• Friendly, enjoys helping people and staying calm when busy.
• Willing to be flexible with shifts and learn on the job.

• Welcome guests and help them check in.
• Serve breakfast or dinner and pour drinks when needed.

Ground Floor Team Member – Portsmouth (Havant) Premier Inn

You are the first person many of our guests meet. And often the last before they leave.

As a Ground Floor Team Member, you’ll welcome guests, help them check in, answer questions, serve breakfast or dinner and do whatever it takes to help their stay go smoothly.

No two shifts are quite the same. One moment you could be helping a family check in before their holiday. The next you might be serving breakfast, recommending somewhere local to eat or helping solve a problem for a guest.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed-term contract until 04/03/2027 – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 16 guaranteed hours per week.

Location: Portsmouth (Havant) Premier Inn - 65 Bedhampton Hill, Bedhampton, Havant, Hampshire, PO9 3JN

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Ground Floor Team Member, no two shifts look exactly the same.

Depending on where you’re needed, you might:

• Welcome guests and help them check in
• Serve breakfast or evening meals, including working behind the bar and serving alcoholic drinks
• Answer questions and help solve problems
• Help keep the reception, restaurant and public areas looking their best
• Support your teammates across the hotel when things get busy
• Make sure every guest feels looked after from arrival to departure

This isn’t a role where you'll spend your shift in one place. You’ll be helping guests, supporting teammates and keeping the hotel running smoothly.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Ground Floor Team Members have joined us from retail, cafés, pubs, restaurants, leisure, travel and customer service.
