Job summary

Premier Inn Bodmin is seeking a Ground Floor Team Member to welcome guests, assist with check-in, and provide friendly service throughout their stay. The role includes helping with breakfast and dinner, handling guest questions, and supporting hotel colleagues to ensure a smooth experience.

Based at the Bodmin location, you’ll work evenings and weekends as part of a permanent team. No previous hotel experience is required, and full training is provided to help you thrive in a busy hospitality

• No prior hotel experience required; suitable from retail, cafés, pubs, restaurants, leisure or customer service.
• Friendly and calm under pressure; willing to learn.

Ground Floor Team Member – BodminPremier Inn

You are the first person many of our guests meet. And often the last before they leave.

As a Ground Floor Team Member, you’ll welcome guests, help them check in, answer questions, serve breakfast or dinner and do whatever it takes to help their stay go smoothly.

No two shifts are quite the same. One moment you could be helping a family check in before their holiday. The next you might be serving breakfast, recommending somewhere local to eat or helping solve a problem for a guest.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 9 guaranteed hours per week.

Location: Launceston Road, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL31 2AR

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Ground Floor Team Member, no two shifts look exactly the same.

Depending on where you’re needed, you might:

• Welcome guests and help them check in
• Serve breakfast or evening meals, including working behind the bar and serving alcoholic drinks
• Answer questions and help solve problems
• Help keep the reception, restaurant and public areas looking their best
• Support your teammates across the hotel when things get busy
• Make sure every guest feels looked after from arrival to departure

This isn’t a role where you'll spend your shift in one place. You’ll be helping guests, supporting teammates and keeping the hotel running smoothly.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Ground Floor Team Members have joined us from retail, cafés, pubs, restaurants, leisure, travel and customer service.

If you’re friendly, enjoy helping people and can stay calm when it’s busy, we’ll teach you the rest.
