Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Locks Heath, Southampton is hiring a Supermarket Assistant to support stock replenishment, online order fulfilment and customer service on the shop floor. You will work 16.5 hours across seven days, including evenings and weekends, with pay starting at £13.00 per hour (£13.25 after 90 days).

Qualifications

• Communication skills to work effectively with customers and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to cover shifts across seven days including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and correctly placed.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for driver delivery.
• Reducing wastage through due diligence and markdowns on sell-by dates.
• Supporting the wider shop team with checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe, tidy working environment and general shopkeeping tasks.
