Job summary

SPAR/CJ Lang in the United Kingdom is recruiting Customer Service Assistants to join our store team. You will work as part of a friendly team, delivering friendly and efficient service to customers, handling sales transactions and maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in food storage and prep areas.
• Perform Food to Go duties, including food prep, cooking, temp checks, cleaning, rotation and serving.
• Process all sales transactions accurately.
• Carry out ID checks for age-related sales.
• Unpack deliveries and replenish stock.
• Merchandise store and update promotions per planograms.
• Actively sell and promote offers to customers.
• Check prices and update shelf edge labelling.
• Conduct daily temperature checks.
• Maintain high cleanliness on shop floor, storerooms and back of house.
• Follow security measures to protect colleagues, customers and stock.
• Present a professional image and uphold brand standards.
