Job summary

OXBO is seeking a Grid Engineer to support the delivery of utility-scale Wind, Solar PV and BESS projects across the UK. You will work with an experienced team to move projects from development through to construction and commissioning.

You will provide technical support for Solar PV, BESS and onshore wind, coordinate grid connection processes with DNOs/TSOs, review designs, and help ensure grid compliance and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
3+ years in renewable energy, power, or electrical infra.
Experience supporting grid connections for renewable projects.
Knowledge of UK electricity networks, DNOs and connection processes.
Experience reviewing electrical designs and liaising with ICPs/operational bodies.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Trimble or DIgSILENT software.
Understanding commissioning, testing and CDM regulations.

Responsibilities

Support grid connection applications and manage DNO/TSO interfaces.
Review electrical designs and identify technical and commercial improvements.
Coordinate grid connection agreements and electrical studies.
Assist with commissioning activities and ensure grid compliance.
Support project delivery through design reviews, contractor management and due diligence.
Work with project managers and delivery teams to ensure successful completion.
