Job summary

DNA Data and Navy Applications is hiring an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a greenfield TypeScript project in Portsmouth, delivering an end-to-end front-end and service layer for containerised infrastructure.

You will work with the technical lead to set engineering standards, design PostgreSQL schemas, write tests, and own code through CI/CD pipelines. This 6-month contract requires sole British citizenship and on-site attendance 1–2 days per sprint, with a start around 4 November 2026.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong TypeScript on front-end and back-end.
• React, modern CSS, and WCAG 2.2 AA compliance.
• Node.js and REST API design.
• PostgreSQL: schema design and ORM usage.
• Unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Docker and containerised deployments.
• OIDC authentication/authorization (e.g., Keycloak).
• Experience in Agile software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build out features end to end.
• Integrate with existing services, queues and databases.
• Collaborate with product designers to create accessible interfaces.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries.
• Write tests across unit, integration and end-to-end levels.
• Own code through CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployment.
• Address security findings and patch dependencies.
• Contribute to technical direction and tooling.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical scoping sessions.
