Job summary

Crystal Palace Football Club Academy are seeking motivated individuals to support talent identification for both Foundation and YDP phases. The role involves building relationships with local grassroots clubs, watching grassroots games in London, and contributing to reports in CPFC's scouting system.

Candidates should have FA Level 1 Talent ID, safeguarding training, and a DBS check, with strong communication skills and the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• An FA Level 1 in Talent ID
• A Valid Driving License
• Excellent IT skills
• Completed an FA Safeguarding Children Course
• Full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Criminal Record Check (CRC)
• Experience of working in football talent identification
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Flexible and available to work unsociable hours
• Able to work using your own initiative and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Identifying and monitoring local grassroots talent to join our Academy by attending games and tournaments in London
• Helping to build and maintain relationships with local grassroots clubs & coaches.
• Writing reports to help improve knowledge of players via the club’s scouting system.
• Attending CPFC Academy Talent ID events and showcase games as requested by your coordinator.
• Liaising with your coordinator and communicating your weekly scouting activity.
• Ensuring you are available to attend recruitment department meetings and CPD events.
• Be available to attend up to 4 games per week
• Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
• Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
