Job summary

Friends of the Earth is seeking a Community Organiser to work with local communities, activists and action groups to build power and leadership for local campaigns. You will help shape community-led actions addressing climate, nature loss and inequality.

The England team supports nearly 200 Local Action Groups, offering a 4-day week, strong development opportunities and a dynamic culture. Closing date: 28th October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience building trusted relationships with diverse communities and partners.
• Ability to identify issues, develop campaigns and influence decision-makers.
• Proven facilitation skills to run meetings, workshops and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Work with local communities and action groups to develop leadership and campaigns.
• Support community-led campaigns that achieve meaningful local change.
• Contribute to grassroots organising and help sustain volunteers and activists.
