Job summary

TURNERFOX RECRUITMENT LTD in Nottingham is seeking a skilled Film Graphic Designer / Graphic Designer to join a busy Art Department. The role is fully office-based in Nottingham, with freelance beginning and potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You’ll develop graphic design and artwork for film and commercial productions, creating visual details that bring stories and environments to life. Collaboration with a creative team is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ professional graphic design experience, ideally within a creative agency, studio, film, TV, commercial or production environment.
• Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Strong graphic design skills across print, digital and physical production.
• An eye for typography, colour, composition, layout and visual detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop graphic design and artwork for film and commercial productions.
• Create visual details that bring stories, characters and environments to life across signage, posters, packaging and on-screen assets.
• Take ideas from initial concept to finished, production-ready artwork and filming.
• Collaborate with Production Designers, Art Directors, Directors, Producers, Editors and Animators to realise creative briefs.
• Present, explain and develop creative ideas with clarity.

We’re looking for an experienced Film Graphic Designer / Graphic Designer / Graphic Artist to join a busy and creative Art Department in Nottingham.

This is an exciting opportunity for a designer with a passion for film, visual storytelling and production design to work across a varied range of creative projects.

You’ll be responsible for developing graphic design and artwork for film and commercial productions, creating the visual details that help bring stories, characters and environments to life. Your work could include film graphics, branding, signage, posters, packaging, printed materials, props, artwork, set graphics and on-screen visual assets.

Working alongside Production Designers, Art Directors, Directors, Producers, Editors and Animators, you’ll take creative ideas from initial concept through to finished, production-ready artwork and filming.

Key Skills & Experience

We’re looking for a creative and highly capable Graphic Designer / Film Graphic Artist with:

• 4+ years’ professional graphic design experience, ideally within a creative agency, studio, film, TV, commercial or production environment.
• Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.
• Strong graphic design skills across print, digital and physical production.
• An excellent eye for typography, colour, composition, layout and visual detail.
• The ability to interpret creative briefs and develop high-quality, production-ready artwork.
• Experience creating artwork for print, signage, props, packaging, branding and physical set environments.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight production deadlines.
• Confidence working collaboratively with creative and production teams.
• The ability to present, explain and develop creative ideas.
• A practical, hands, “let’s make it happen" attitude.

• Film and TV production
• Commercials and advertising production

This is a fully office/studio-based position.

The successful candidate must be able to commute to our Nottingham studio and work on-site full-time.

The position may also involve occasional travel to filming locations and production shoots where required.

The initial opportunity is freelance, with the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.
