Overview

We’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer to create high quality, creative graphics that help tell a new story about Sandwell across all our communications channels.

It’s an exciting time to join Sandwell Council. We have set our ambition to become an outstanding council, and the Communications team is a key strategic service that will help lead the change required to make this ambition a reality.

You’ll be creating graphics and visuals to be used across our external and internal channels, including producing our newspaper – the Sandwell Herald – and our e-newsletters and social media channels.

We are looking for a talented individual who can use their design expertise to help explain complicated or sensitive information to a range of different audiences in a visual way. Working with colleagues across the Communications team, you’ll help bring our campaigns to life.

You’ll work with our Internal Communications, Employee Engagement and Brand Manager to maintain and update our branding guidelines, and support other colleagues across the council to work within them.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include creating graphics and visuals for external and internal communications, supporting branding, and collaborating with teams to present information clearly and creatively across multiple channels.

Qualifications and Skills

Design expertise to explain complicated or sensitive information visually; ability to work with colleagues across the Communications team; ability to maintain and apply branding guidelines.
