About This Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate individual to join the Cumberland Home Improvement Agency (HIA) team, supporting the administration of Disabled Facilities Grants in the West of the region. Primarily this role involves providing specialist support to the service, including taking calls and responding to emails, offering general advice on the service offer and processes, managing client records, preparing and processing decisions notices, certifications, letters and other documents, financial administration and assisting with general office tasks to help CHIA run smoothly, and support the wider team. This role is based in Allerdale House. Line management will be provided from our Allerdale office, with peer support also available locally. Due to ongoing Local Government reorganisation, the scope of the role may evolve, and you will be required to support in shaping change. The post is part-time, with the working pattern to be agreed prior to appointment. This is a fixed-term contract for one year, and secondments will be considered.
