A leading education recruitment agency is seeking a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to support secondary students across Newcastle and North Tyneside. Ideal candidates will have degrees in relevant fields and strong communication skills. Are you a recent graduate looking to begin your career in education? Protocol Education is recruiting Graduate Learning Support Assistants to work in our partner secondary schools across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland.
This is an exciting opportunity for graduates in Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Education, English, Maths, or Science to gain valuable classroom experience, support young people, and take your first step towards a career in teaching, educational psychology or specialist SEND support.
Supporting pupils in class, in small groups and 1:1, helping them to overcome barriers to learning
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management and behaviour support
Providing encouragement, guidance and academic support across a range of subjects
Supporting students with additional needs (SEND/SEMH) and adapting resources where required
Building positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents to create an inclusive learning environment
A degree in Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Education, English, Maths, Science or a related subject
A genuine passion for supporting young people in education
Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with secondary-aged students
Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to classroom support
A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one (you can do so through us)
Competitive pay: £90–£115 per day (depending on experience)
