Tetra Tech is hiring in the UK Water Consultancy team to support wastewater modelling, data analysis and engineering projects. You will handle large datasets, develop hydraulic models, and prepare reports with clear findings for clients and stakeholders.
You will work with engineers and modellers in multidisciplinary teams, with some site visits and hybrid office attendance in Derby, Sheffield, and Newcastle. Clear paths to chartership are available.
Join Tetra Tech’s Water Consultancy team across the UK and support a wide range of wastewater modelling, data analysis and engineering projects, from local investigations to multi-million-pound infrastructure schemes. You will handle and interpret large datasets, develop and maintain hydraulic and statistical models, produce factual and interpretative reports, and contribute to client and stakeholder engagement. Working as part of multidisciplinary project teams, you will collaborate with experienced engineers and modellers, with opportunities for site surveys and field data collection.
In the short term, you will help deliver live projects by producing high-quality data outputs and model results. Over time, you will take on greater responsibility for smaller project tasks, model development and client communication, while building your professional skills through relevant training. Longer term, this role offers clear pathways to chartership and senior technical positions, with exposure to significant regional and national programmes that will support your growth.
Expected: A degree in Civil Engineering, Geography or a closely related discipline, alongside good communication and basic computing skills.
Desirable: Experience or modules in wastewater, hydraulics, hydrology, GIS, statistical modelling or programming, plus any site work or internship experience.
Based in our Derby, Sheffield, and Newcastle offices with hybrid working. During your probation you can expect to be in the office full time. Following that you can work in the office around two to three days per week, with occasional site visits and in-person team activities.
The closing date for applications is the 31st of October.
