Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the VFX team to plan and deliver realistic and stylised particle effects.
  • Work with Art and Design teams on all visual effect aspects of game development, including gameplay-specific tasks.
  • Develop and implement both creative and technical skills.
  • Ensure VFX are efficient and performant.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Have a good understanding of real-time game engines and particle systems.
  • Balance aesthetic and technical aspects of VFX.
  • Apply techniques for creating efficient and well-balanced effects.
  • Familiarity with particle systems used in the games industry.
  • Skill in creating authentic, believable motion for dynamic VFX.
  • Awareness of visual techniques used in modern games.
  • Understanding of memory and performance pitfalls and how to avoid them.
  • Foundational knowledge of Maya, Janga Suite, Photoshop, After Effects, Houdini, or equivalent industry-standard software.
