Belmont Vets is a dedicated companion animal vet practice located in Hereford. Hereford is a hidden gem, blending historic charm and modern comfort, nestled on the River Wye near the Welsh border. It’s a dream location for nature lovers and culture seekers alike with 2,100 miles of footpaths and trails, including the Malvern Hills and Brecon Beacons on your doorstep, a vibrant mix of markets, restaurants, independent shops, and city amenities. We’re proud to have a supportive and caring team made up of 4 dedicated Vets, eight skilled Nurses, and an exceptional support and administrative team that all work seamlessly together. Three of our Vets each bring over 15 years of experience, ensuring that there’s always expert guidance and collaboration available for both clinical cases and surgical procedures.

We have a fantastic, well‑equipped practice with a wide range of modern facilities, including separate dog and cat wards and waiting areas, ECG, digital X‑ray, multi‑organ ultrasound scanner, echocardiogram, in‑house laboratory, K‑Laser, and much more.

Schedule & Responsibilities

You will work 40 hours per week, over four days. Three days are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with one longer day from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There are no out‑of‑hours (OOH) requirements, though we do operate an in‑patient rota to provide care for stable patients staying overnight. This involves one night per week on a shared rotation. In addition, there is a 1‑in‑5 Saturday rota (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) with sole charge.
