Qualifications

Glenshane Veterinary Clinics are a group of practices located in Londonderry, Coleraine and Dungiven. You will be mainly based at our Maghera branch in Londonderry however, will also be required to work at our Fairhill and Dungiven sites. We are located in the countryside, but not far from city life, at the foot of Sperrin Mountains and beautiful North Coast. 45 minutes from local airports and have good bus connection to Belfast, Derry and North Coast (45min). We have lots of good sporting facilities including gyms, football, rugby, hockey nearby and 2 local towns with shopping facilities maximum less than 5 mile.

We are a supportive and dedicated team of 6 Vets, 5 Nurses and an excellent management and administrative team. Within our team, we have one Vet studying for a SA certificate in Internal Medicine, and 1 Vet studying for a farm certificate in Cattle Health. Most of our staff have been with Glenshane for 5 years +, and we hold yearly staff activities to keep team work at a high standard.

Practice facilities and equipment include easyscan, cattle crush for feet pairing and ex lap/c-section, Ovocyte, small ruminant operation table, horse stock, electro ejaculator for large animals, idexx lab station, microscope, digital x-ray, SA ultrasound, SA endoscope, SA hospitalisation facilities, Merlin PMS, dentistry machine, specific surgery kits and so much more.

You will work 40 hours per week, 9am - 6pm for four days a week and one day 9am - 1pm. There will be 1 on call night per week and 1 on call weekend in 4.

You will be supported by a dedicated Clinical Coach.

Caseload split of 70% Farm and 30% Small Animal.

You will be provided with a company van - a full driving license is required.

Short term accommodation possible.
