Precision Acoustics Ltd in Dorchester invites applications for a Graduate Ultrasound Engineer to join our Sensors & Materials team. You will design, build and test bespoke ultrasound sensors and acoustic materials, contributing to medical ultrasound, non-destructive testing and underwater sensing projects.

You will work hands-on in the lab, learn how devices are designed and produced, and progress from fabrication and testing to design and development with mentorship from experienced

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM disciplines required; strong hands-on engineering aptitude.
• Hands-on lab experience and careful craftsmanship are essential; training provided.
• Comfort with working in an ISO9001 quality environment and documenting work.

Responsibilities

• Sensor manufacture and support for product development.
• Support for the Sensors team in delivery of new products and services.
• Electrical and acoustic testing of ultrasound sensors.
• Use of workshop facilities and measurement equipment (training provided).
• Assist in preparing technical proposals for new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate technical records and documentation.
• Work safely and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
