Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Town Planner for their client in Bury St Edmunds. This entry-level role offers exposure to a broad range of planning projects across the private sector with support from senior planners in a growing team.

You will contribute to planning applications, policy research and site appraisals while benefiting from a flexible hybrid working arrangement (4 days at home, 1 day in the office) and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or related subject.
• RTPI-accredited degree or working towards RTPI membership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Genuine interest in private-sector planning.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
• Prev planning experience through a placement or internship would be advantageous but not essential.

Job Title: Graduate Town Planner

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established planning consultancy who are looking to add a Graduate Town Planner to their growing team in Bury St Edmunds.

This is a great opportunity for a recent Planning graduate looking to take the next step in their career and gain genuine exposure to a broad range of planning projects.

One of the key attractions of this role is the flexible hybrid working arrangement, with the successful candidate working 4 days from home and just 1 day per week in the Bury St Edmunds office.

The consultancy works across a variety of sectors, providing planning advice on projects throughout the UK. As a Graduate Town Planner, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced planners and gain exposure to the full planning process.

The Role
