Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Graduate Test Automation Engineer to join us on a 12 month contract basis here at Samsung. This role sits within the Quality Assurance (QA) and Customer Experience (CX) department focusing on Samsung Electronics products launched in UK & EU. The team design and develop test automation tools, performing manual testing when necessary. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will design and implement test tools to support QA and CX of Samsung Electronics' products. You'll work closely with regional & global QA teams to ensure we deliver high-quality experiences and remove barriers to seamless service delivery.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with software developers and QA engineers to identify test scenarios and automate repetitive test cases.
  • Execute and monitor automated test suites and analyze results to identify and report defects.
  • Optimize existing test automation processes to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Perform manual testing.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate with a degree or professional certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress).
  • Basic understanding of programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Location and Hybrid Working
  • The role is based at Samsung R&D Institute in Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey, UK.
  • Samsung currently operates a hybrid working policy of 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home weekly.
