Graduate Teaching Opportunity – Maths

Location: Knowsley

Contract: 1-3 school terms

Progression: Priority interview for a School‑Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme

Pay: Negotiable based on experience

Are you a recent graduate in Maths or due to complete your university studies and are keen to start a career in education? We are working with a respected local SCITT provider in Knowsley to offer a brilliant opportunity for graduates to gain school experience before moving into teacher training.

The Role

You’ll be based in a supportive Knowsley school, helping teachers and pupils on a day‑to‑day basis while developing key classroom and communication skills. It’s a great chance to see what teaching is really like before committing to a training course.

At the end of your placement, you’ll be offered a priority interview for the partner SCITT programme – giving you a direct route towards achieving QTS.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in lessons, small groups or one‑to‑one
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop behaviour management and leadership skills
  • Contribute to pupils’ progress and wellbeing
