Secondary schools across Hackney are seeking Graduate Teaching Assistants to join them from January. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates who are considering teacher training and want to build hands-on classroom experience.

The Role: Graduate Teaching Assistant positions across KS3–KS4

Start Date: January

Locations: Secondary schools throughout Hackney

Availability: Full-time, part-time and flexible work options

Competitive daily rates (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting students in a range of subjects at KS3 & KS4
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support, including work with SEN learners
  • Assisting class teachers with lesson preparation and general classroom duties
  • Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
About You
  • A recent graduate (all subjects considered)
  • Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, youth work, summer camps or school support)
  • Passionate about education and exploring a route into teaching
  • Confident, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
