Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants in Sale to support welcoming secondary schools on a full-time or part-time basis. This Graduate Teaching Assistant role in Sale is ideal for recent graduates considering a career in teaching, education, psychology, youth work or supporting young people.

You’ll be joining a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Sale, where student wellbeing, inclusion and positive relationships are valued.

Qualifications

• A recent university degree – all degree subjects considered.
• Based in or able to commute to Sale.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4 on a one-to-one, small-group and classroom basis.
• Working alongside class teachers to support learning, engagement and progress.
• Helping deliver catch-up and intervention sessions, particularly within Maths, English or Science.
• Supporting students with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs.
• Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging their confidence and independence.
• Providing general classroom and pastoral support where required.
