Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support secondary schools in Rusholme, Manchester. The role offers flexible full-time or part-time placements with a competitive daily rate of up to £115.

You will assist KS3 and KS4 pupils, work with teachers to boost engagement, support catch-up sessions in Maths, English or Science, and help pupils with SEN or other learning needs. This is an ideal role for recent graduates exploring education careers.

Qualifications

• A recent university degree; all degree subjects considered.
• Based in or able to commute to Rusholme.
• Genuine interest in working with children and young people.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and positive attitude.
• Willingness to complete CPD and training.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4 on a one-to-one, small-group and classroom basis.
• Working alongside class teachers to support learning and engagement.
• Helping deliver catch-up and intervention sessions in Maths, English or Science.
• Supporting students with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs.
• Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging confidence and independence.
• Providing general classroom and pastoral support where required.
