Location: Clacton On Sea, Essex. Contract: Full-time. Start Date: January 2026. Potential for Teacher Training Placement.

Are you a recent Science graduate looking to take your first step into education? Do you have a passion for inspiring young people and are considering a rewarding career in teaching? Our client is an ambitious and welcoming secondary school with a busy, well‑resourced Science Department. We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their team and support the delivery of outstanding science education across Key Stages 3 and 4.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to gain invaluable classroom experience. After one or two successful terms as a TA, there is potential to progress onto a paid teacher training programme within the school.

The Role

• Support teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging science lessons
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning
• Prepare and maintain equipment and materials for practical work
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment
• Contribute to wider school life, including clubs, enrichment activities, and trips

The Ideal Candidate

• A recent Science graduate (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related discipline)
• Passionate about education and eager to inspire young learners
