Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd. is assisting a progressive outstanding secondary school in Chafford Hundred, Thurrock, in recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants.

This is an ideal entry path for graduates hoping to train as teachers, with roles covering Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English and RE/Philosophy/Geography. The positions are term-time, Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 3.30pm, starting in November, with weekly pay of £540–£560 and potential salaried teacher training from September 2027.

Qualifications

• Graduates of Maths/ Physics, Chemistry, English and RE/Philosophy/ Geography
• Must be 1st or 2.1 degree graded
• Preferably from Russell Group/ Top 30 Universities
• Matching A levels and GCSE’s are a must
• Ideally – you will want to train as a teacher in the future
• Must love your subject
• Must have a passion to share your interest and support progress in others

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in class and in small group exercises
• Boost attainment and support learners who are presenting barriers to progress
• Work with the teaching and SEN team to improve outcomes
