Job summary

The Education Network in Wolverhampton is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school. You will support pupils 1:1, run small-group interventions and assist with general classroom activities to help learners reach their potential.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in any subject, are aspiring to teach, and possess strong communication and organisational skills. The role starts immediately and runs until July 2027, with daily pay of £85-£101.

Qualifications

• A degree in any subject, ideally with a strong academic background.
• Genuine interest in pursuing a career in primary teaching or education.
• Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 academic support to pupils who need additional guidance.
• Deliver small group interventions to improve literacy, numeracy and overall academic progress.
• Assist classroom teachers with lesson preparation, learning activities and classroom management.
• Support pupils of varying abilities, helping them remain engaged and confident in their learning.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Help create an engaging learning environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
