Job summary

Milk Education in Guildford and surrounding Surrey areas is seeking Graduate Teaching Assistants to support SEN schools and help pupils with diverse needs.

You will work alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams, supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, fostering learning, confidence and wellbeing. Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities with ongoing CPD through Milk Academy.

Qualifications

• Recent university graduate in any degree
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, positive and adaptable approach
• Previous experience with children or SEND is beneficial but not essential

Milk Education is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants in Guildford to support fantastic SEN schools across Surrey. This role is perfect for graduates who are passionate about supporting children and young people and want to make a real difference in their learning, development, and wellbeing.

Whether you have studied Psychology, Education, Criminology, English, Maths, Science, Sport, or another degree, this opportunity will help you develop valuable skills and experience within a specialist education setting.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant in a SEN school, you will work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to provide support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEND and SEMH needs.

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Helping students access learning and develop confidence
• Supporting children with additional learning needs
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and interventions
• Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and independence
• Providing emotional and pastoral support where required

What We're Looking For

• A recent university graduate - all degree subjects considered
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skillsA patient, positive, and adaptable approach
• Previous experience working with children, young people, SEND, or care settings is beneficial but not essential
• Based in or able to commute to Guildford and surrounding Surrey areas
