About the role/school

Teach Plus are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly, inclusive, Ofsted Good rated primary school in Hackney. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Job Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in class, small groups, and 1:1 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, helping them access learning and make progress.
  • Assist the class teacher with preparing resources, setting up activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Work with pupils who may need additional support, including those with SEND and EAL.
  • Help promote positive behaviour and emotional well‑being across the classroom.
  • Contribute to assessments, observations, and feedback discussions where needed.
  • Engage enthusiastically with school life, showing initiative and a proactive approach as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
Qualifications/Experience
  • A recent graduate (any subject considered)
  • Passion for working with children and supporting education
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude
  • Experience working with children (school-based or otherwise) is beneficial but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
