Job summary

Cundall’s Sustainability & Building Physics team in the UK invites graduates to join in September 2027 to work on energy modelling and sustainability strategies for new and existing buildings.

Under supervision you will contribute to building physics, heat transfer, and carbon lifecycle workstreams across projects in the UK and worldwide, with mentoring toward Chartership. We offer a competitive salary, joining bonus and chartered-status bonuses, 25 days' holiday and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
• Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree level in Sustainable Engineering or the Built Environment (or equivalent).
• Knowledge and experience of building physics, particularly heat transfer, energy, thermal comfort and natural ventilation.
• Familiarity with climate-based daylighting analysis, TM54 energy calculations, and sustainability tools such as BREEAM.
• Understanding of Parametric Modelling Techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo) or at least one modern programming language (Python, C#, VB).
• Organised and methodical in task management with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop energy modelling and assist in sustainability strategies for new build and existing buildings.
• Work on workstreams including building physics, performance optimisation, certification, health and wellbeing guidance, net zero and whole life carbon services.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to meet deadlines and support chartership progression.
