Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2027 or recently graduated in 2025 or 2026 with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master’s or bachelor’s degree.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home (virtual working encouraged where possible).

Responsibilities

• Undertake feasibility studies, design and site supervision on Bridge and Civil structures projects in Highways and Rail.
• Work in teams of varying sizes to develop first-class, digital and sustainable solutions for clients.
• Gain a wide variety of experience on projects such as HS2 and Lower Thames Crossing, heritage bridges over the Thames, or iconic bridges in other locations.

Role description

Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, sitting along client work and real projects from day one. Each graduate’s journey is unique, shaped by their chosen specialism and the variety of projects they contribute to. You will build your technical expertise by contributing to meaningful client engagements and project work, whilst business acumen and professional skills will be developed through centrally delivered graduate cohort training. Although there are no formal rotations, graduates are encouraged and supported by their managers to proactively seek opportunities, to broaden their experience and support their development.

Role accountabilities

At Arcadis, we pride ourselves in our 400-year history of being involved in some of the most iconic bridges in the world, such as Sydney Harbour Bridge, Humber Bridge, Victoria Falls Bridge, The Millau Viaduct to name but a few. You will be a member of an established community where you will be supported by experts as you undertake feasibility studies, design and site supervision on Bridge and Civil structures projects in Highways and Rail. Working in teams of various sizes you will help develop first class, digital and sustainable solutions for our clients, gaining a wide variety of experience on projects such as HS2 and Lower Thames Crossing to heritage bridges over the Thames and moving bridges in central London to Iconic bridges in Texas, New Zealand, Cardiff or Belgium.

• Accepted Degrees: BEng or MEng (or MSc) Structural Engineering or Civils & Structures Engineering or Civil Engineering

Qualifications & Experience

• You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2025 or 2026, with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree
• You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
• You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from homewhen required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
