We are looking for tech passionate individuals to start their career in the IT industry.

You will be joining a significant business area working for our largest UK public sector client, working with inspiring experts from whom you can learn and enjoy the career opportunities this brings.

This role is only available to be based in our office in Telford, West Midlands. As such, you will need to be based within a commutable distance of 90 minutes to the Telford office, where you should expect to typically be in our office 3 days a week.

Your role

As a Graduate Software Engineer with a strong foundation in computer science and a keen interest in data and software development, you'll contribute to innovative projects across cloud, data, and software engineering domains.

Your skills and experience

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team environments.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript).
  • Experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of software testing and quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of frameworks and development stacks (e.g., React, Angular, Django, MEAN).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Awareness of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
  • Basic cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
  • Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms.

Security Clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.

To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
