Job summary

X-on Health in Melton, UK is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer to join a collaborative software team developing backend APIs and customer-facing websites for primary healthcare solutions.

You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment, working with HTML, CSS and modern JS frameworks, and server-side languages such as Node.js or Python. A degree-equivalent qualification and a strong problem-solving mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications equivalent to degree level.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern JS frameworks (React, Vue or Angular).
• Server-side experience with PHP, Node.js or Python.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Contribute towards design, development, and implementation of high-performance, scalable applications and services.
• Develop APIs and other web services.
• Work with databases to implement data models.
• Contribute to all phases of the software lifecycle from design to monitoring.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Share ideas and prompt continuous improvement across the team.
• Write integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards.
• Comply with Health & Safety, Data Protection, Information Security, PCI & DSP policies.
