Graduate Site Engineer – 2026 Development Programme – Peterborough

We are looking for a Graduate Site Engineer to join our Infrastructure @one Alliance team in Peterborough to support the planning, coordination, and execution of civil, mechanical, or electrical works on water and wastewater sites. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role offering exposure to major infrastructure projects, cutting‑edge technologies and the chance to build a meaningful career.

What you’ll do:
  • Assist with day‑to‑day site management, ensuring safe and efficient operations
  • Support setting out, surveying, and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Coordinate subcontractors, plant, and materials on site
  • Monitor progress, quality, and health & safety compliance
  • Assist with environmental management and sustainability targets
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Senior Engineers to solve technical challenges
  • Contribute to project reporting and stakeholder communication
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Final‑year student or recent graduate with in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (or relevant discipline).
  • Strong interest in site‑based engineering and infrastructure delivery.
  • Strong interest in innovation, sustainability, and positive societal impact, demonstrated through collaborative teamwork and proactive problem‑solving.
  • Enthusiastic learner dedicated to personal and professional development, with a willingness to work towards professional qualifications or chartered status.
  • This role requires visits to sites across the UK, particularly in East Anglia. As such, we would expect you to have a driving licence or work towards obtaining one within your first year of working with us.
