  • £350 - £400 per week

We are looking for a proactive and organised Trainee School Data Officer to join a ‘Good’ rated secondary school in Central Birmingham. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their skills in data management within an educational setting, offering hands‑on experience and the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Management: Support the maintenance and accuracy of student, staff, and curriculum data in our school’s information systems, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks related to data, including managing data entry, verifying records, and supporting reporting requirements.
  • Systems Development: Work with the data team and IT staff to improve data processes, support software updates, and implement best practices.
  • Compliance & Data Protection: Help ensure compliance with GDPR and school policies by following data security and confidentiality protocols.
About You
  • Strong interest in data management and administration, ideally with some experience in a similar environment.
  • Organised, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of data protection principles, including GDPR, or willingness to learn.
  • Confident in using data management tools, especially Excel; familiarity with school data systems (like SIMS) is a plus but not essential.
