Job summary

DG Cities is hiring a Graduate Research Analyst / Research Analyst to support Research and Insights and Net Zero practices in London. You’ll deliver high-quality research and data analysis to understand the impact of innovations, from energy sensors to smart policy initiatives.

You’ll work across diverse projects, collaborating with stakeholders, designing studies, analyzing data, and presenting findings to clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of social research methods, including qualitative methods such as semi-structured interviews, workshop design and delivery, and facilitation expertise.
• Degree in a relevant social science or qualitative discipline, such as psychology or sustainability.
• Experience analysing qualitative data and synthesis of data from different techniques.
• Able to communicate findings to different audiences; presenting to clients and at conferences.
• Collaborative and inclusive research approach.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver qualitative research, including developing research plans, designing workshop, survey, and interview materials, supporting facilitation of workshops and undertaking interviews.
• Design and delivery of data analysis and evaluation activities for projects, including the development of research materials, the design and delivery of assessment methodologies, and the production of reports, data visualisations.
• Analysis and synthesis of data to develop clear findings that inform decisions.
• Support the writing of project proposals and bids for funded projects.
• Write copy for shareable content based on DG Cities’ research, including blogs, articles, presentations, executive summaries and reports.
• Present research findings to clients, partners and other key stakeholders.
• Raise awareness of DG Cities’ work via networks, including through social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter) and through networking events.
