  • Review equipment data to improve the technical strategy.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis.
  • Lead partnerships with Engineering, Maintenance and Manufacturing.
  • Monitor failures to identify root causes.
  • Organise and lead the Criticality Assessment and Risk Based Maintenance analysis.
  • Identify design‑out opportunities.
  • Implement changes to PMs when appropriate.
  • Provide training including Root Cause Failure Analysis.

Job description

We are now seeking a Graduate Reliability Engineer to join the team at our site in Filton. At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft. The successful candidate will work on maintenance, planning and analysis of maintenance data to drive machine uptime improvement across site. This role offers some flexible working, normal hours are 0700 - 1500, with a 1200 finish on a Friday. The role is initially on a 24 month contract, however there is potential for a permanent role for the right candidate. Please note that this is not part of our Global Graduate Scheme.

Responsibilities
  • Review equipment data to identify opportunities to improve the technical strategy.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis.
  • Lead partnerships with Engineering, Maintenance and Manufacturing.
  • Monitor failures to identify root causes and implement appropriate actions.
  • Organise and indirectly lead the Criticality Assessment and Risk Based Maintenance analysis teams.
  • Identify design‑out opportunities and evaluate cost‑justifiable actions.
  • Initiate and implement changes to PMs when appropriate.
  • Provide training as needed, including Root Cause Failure Analysis training for team members.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A strong team player with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to transfer data into Excel and communicate to all levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Problem‑solving ability in a changing environment.

  • Experience within an aerospace production environment.
