Job summary

HFG is seeking a sharp graduate to start a career in the London Market. You will work closely with brokers, reinsurers and internal teams to learn how major reinsurance programmes are designed, negotiated and placed, shaping decisions that affect risk and capital.

You will build relationships, analyse options and support renewal submissions, while developing strong data-driven insights into programme performance. A maths-based education and a keen analytical mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years' experience in insurance or London/Lloyd's market is advantageous.
• A Maths background with top-level Maths at A-Level is essential.
• Sharp analytical skills and comfort interrogating data.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the placement and renewal of ceded reinsurance programmes.
• Build relationships with brokers and reinsurers.

What you'll do:

What you'll bring:

• 0-2 years' experience; a background in insurance or the London/Lloyd's market is a strong plus
• A Maths (or highly numerate) background, with an A/A* at A-Level Maths essential
• Sharp analytical skills and comfort interrogating data
• Strong communication and organisational skills
