Job summary

Bimplus in Grays, Essex is recruiting a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our specialist subcontracting team. You will assist with commercial management on projects from tender through to completion, supported by experienced staff and a structured training programme.

Ideally a recent Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management graduate; no prior construction experience required though any placement/site exposure helps. Driving licence beneficial.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (recent graduates welcome).
• Commercially minded with good numeracy and organisational skills.
• Driving licence would be beneficial for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial management of projects from tender to completion.
• Prepare estimates and project budgets.
• Carry out measurements and take-offs from drawings.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist with procurement and placing subcontract orders.
• Prepare and submit valuations.
• Monitor project costs against budgets.
• Identify and price variations.
• Review subcontractor applications and invoices.
• Support monthly cost reports and attend site visits.
