Job summary

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a well established Farnham based office fit out and design and build contractor. You will start with real responsibility and mentoring on projects from pre-construction through final account, building essential commercial skills.

The role targets recent graduates with a Quantity Surveying degree and a 2:1, with placement years or relevant exposure considered advantageous as you begin a long-term career in commercial

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial management of office fit out and design & build projects from pre-construction through to final account.
• Support subcontract procurement, valuations, cost reporting and variations.
• Liaise with clients and project teams while gaining hands-on experience across the project lifecycle.
• Take on increasing responsibility with mentoring to develop into a successful Quantity Surveyor.

About you

You have recently completed a Quantity Surveying degree and achieved at least a 2:1. Now you are looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor role where you can learn properly, work alongside experienced commercial professionals and build a long term career within the office fit out and design and build sector.

Your experience

You will have recently graduated with a Quantity Surveying degree and achieved a minimum 2:1 classification.

Any placement year, work experience or exposure to office fit out, commercial interiors or design and build projects would be beneficial, although the most important thing is your attitude and willingness to learn.

You will be organised, keen to develop your commercial knowledge and excited about building a career in Quantity Surveying.

What you will be doing with your experience

You will join the Farnham office and work closely with an experienced commercial team who will support your development from day one.

You will assist with the commercial management of office fit out and design and build projects from pre construction through to final account. This will include helping with subcontract procurement, valuations, cost reporting, variations and client liaison while gaining hands on experience across every stage of the project lifecycle.

You will be given real responsibility from the beginning, with the support and mentoring needed to develop into a successful Quantity Surveyor. As your experience grows, so will your level of responsibility and opportunities for progression.

The salary is around 28,000 to 30,000 depending on experience, with regular pay reviews and genuine opportunities for career progression as the business continues to grow.
